Callaway debuts next-gen Chrome Soft, Soft X balls

Callaway Golf has introduced the next generation of Chrome Soft and Chrome Soft X, with both balls having been fully re-designed to promote more speed and distance while maintaining the great feel and spin characteristics for which the Chrome Soft and Chrome Soft X are renowned.

So what’s new with the Chrome Soft and Chrome Soft X?

The Chrome Soft has had its Dual SoftFast core redesigned with a much larger volume inner core and a thinner outer-core thanks to the cutting-edge use of graphene, which helps promote faster ball speed and increased wedge spin.

The redesigned thinner cover helps reduce spin on full shots, which helps with distance while maintaining soft feel and superb greenside spin and control.

Meanwhile the Chrome Soft X gains a significantly larger SoftFast core to help generate faster ball speed and in turn the all-new thinner cover lowers spin on full shots to promote distance.

“We’ve reinvented Tour ball performance again with our new Chrome Soft and Chrome Soft X,” said Dr. Alan Hocknell, Callaway SVP of R&D.

“Redesigning both models from the inside out allows us to give golfers more of what they want in a Tour ball – long distance, great feel and a spin profile that promotes low spin on full shots and high spin around the green.”

Availability

The Chrome Soft Golf Balls will be available locally from mid-March with the Chrome Soft X Golf Balls arriving at retail in mid-April. Both products will be priced at AUD$74.99 (NZ$89.99) per dozen.
