Callaway debuts X2 Hot Deep Fairway Woods
The 2014 range of Callaway X2 Hot Deep Fairway Woods are built to go deep.
An extension of last year’s X Hot 3Deep Fairway Wood, the new X2 Hot Deep fairway woods lineups features several key technology updates and a more complete offering – available in 2-Deep, 3-Deep and 5-Deep.
At 220 cc, the 2-Deep (12.5°) was designed mainly as an alternative off the tee. Currently used by Phil Mickelson, it provides players with a higher MOI and a larger face for greater consistency.
The X2 Hot 3-Deep (14.5°) has a higher MOI than last year’s version for more consistency and also a flatter roll radius so that it launches higher off the fairway and tight lies.
The X2 Hot 5-Deep (18.5°) is for players who gain confidence from seeing a deep-faced fairway wood. Useful off the tee, it also delivers more spin (relative to the X2 Hot Pro fairway wood) and control out of the fairway or rough.

All Deep line clubs are designed with a deep face for players who want to predominantly hit fairway woods off the tee, but they still deliver consistency and versatility off the fairway.
The stock shaft in the Deep range is the premium Aldila Tour Green, the same one found in the X2 Hot Pro line.
The Deep line features Callaway’s High Strength Carpenter 455 Forged Face Cup for increased ball speeds, a high MOI for great forgiveness, a Flatter Roll Radius for higher launch angles off fairway woods and tight lies, and Larger Volume Progression through the range to give players a wider range of performance options from the lineup.
