It’s already rated one of the best golf courses in Queensland.
Now the Greg Norman-designed Brookwater golf course, west of Brisbane, will lift its profile even further following news a $550m five-star Dusit Thani international resort complex will be added to the attraction.

Ipswich Council has given stage one of the project the go-ahead and among the plans are a day spa, ballroom and even a wedding chapel with construction expected to begin in the next few weeks.
The $110m first stage, which will include 168 resort apartments, is expected to be operational as early as mid-2016.
The council’s planning and development committee chairman Paul Tully explained that the first stage would boast the central resort facilities including lobby, lounges, business centre and meeting rooms, ballroom, day spa, restaurants and retail tenancies, indoor and outdoor recreational and leisure facilities, as well as recreation clubs and a wedding chapel.
Cr Tully said the resort would be a major attraction for national and international visitors.
“This resort is proposing to have world-class facilities, from a boutique cinema and luxury day spa to an aquatic and fitness centre with a 50m Olympic sized pool and crèche, pro-shop, café and crèche, tennis courts, water park, and lagoon pool,” he said.
“The resort will also develop a 3000sqm convention centre which will be a fantastic facility for businesses hosting conferences, as well as major events.”
Eventually it is intended for the Brookwater Golf and Spa Resort to contain 520 residential resort apartments with access to a golf course regularly rated among the top 20 in Australia.
