Fox Sports to broadcast virtual Greg Norman Medal
Since its inception in 2015, the Greg Norman Medal has been a feature event in the week leading up the Australian PGA Championship on Queensland’s Gold Coast.
But with the cancellation of the 2020 golfing summer due to COVID-19, the ceremony will now be a virtual one and broadcast on Fox Sports and Kayo from 7pm AEDT tonight (Wed 24th March).

“While we would have liked to have brought everyone together it is important we still recognise the outstanding performances of our Professionals at every level of the game,” said PGA of Australia CEO Gavin Kirkman.
“Our Touring Professionals have done us proud around the world but I want to make special mention of those PGA Professionals at the coalface here in Australia.”
“The Greg Norman Medal recognises our highest achievers but I want to pay tribute to all of our PGA Professionals for the way they have conducted themselves this past year and put the game of golf in a strong position through such difficult times.”
This year’s nominees for the Greg Norman Medal are World No.10 and previous Medal winner Minjee Lee, Adam Scott and Cameron Smith.
Smith had a breakout year winning his first individual PGA Tour title at the Sony Open and then at the COVID-delayed Masters, the Queenslander became the first player in history to record four sub-70 rounds at Augusta National and finished runner-up alongside Sungjae Im.
Previous medal winners include Jason Day (2015, 2016), Marc Leishman (2017), Minjee Lee (2018) and Hannah Green (2019).
