Foxtel, Kayo to air Australian golf season

In a twist on the typical Foxtel and Kayo sports paywall, the pay TV provider has announced an agreement with the PGA Tour of Australasia, which will see the 2021/22 golf season available for free.

Over 100 hours of live coverage including the Australian PGA Championship and Vic Open will be available at no cost via Kayo Freebies inside the Kayo app, which already includes extensive coverage of a wide range of sports including NBL, WNBL, Darts, Cricket, Boxing and more.

Current Foxtel subscribers will also be able to watch all of the new golf content on top of their current subscription at no extra cost.

“All of the domestic golf bodies have come together to offer golf fans a complete package of events this summer and we are incredibly pleased to partner with them to showcase the entire schedule of Australian golf for the millions of subscribers watching sport on Foxtel and Kayo,” said Rebecca McCloy, Foxtel Group Commercial Director – Sports.

“The Foxtel Group is already the number one destination to watch golf globally including the PGA Tour, the European Tour (DP World Tour), the Ryder Cup and all four Majors.”

“Together with making two of the most popular Australian tournaments available free on Kayo, this new agreement is a great result for golf fans and our sports subscribers.”
