Golf writer Tom Ramsey dies at 75
Iconic Australian golf writer, Tom Ramsey, has passed away at the age of 75, following a decade long battle with cancer.
Ramsey, who only began his lover affair with golf in his late 20′s, went on to become News Limited’s chief golf correspondent for 40 years and covered 141 majors.

The Northern Irishman helped establish the Australian Golf Writers Association and then went on to win the Australian Golf Writers title 12 times along with similar accolades across the world.
Ramsey was cremated in a private ceremony yesterday and his ashes will be scattered at his favourite course, Royal County Down, in Northern Ireland.
Ramsey is survived by his wife, Carmel, and son Andrew.
