Nicklaus lends his support to Challenge Foundation

Let’s face it, anything that the world’s greatest-ever golfer Jack Nicklaus supports has to be a good thing, right?

So it’s exciting news that the 18-time major champion, The Golden Bear, has thrown his support behind a concept born about by the untimely passing of Australian golf pro Jarrod Lyle after a long battle with cancer.

The campaign #DoingItForJarrod can only succeed with the support from the likes of Nicklaus on board as well as countless US pros who have pledged their support for Jarrod.

Golf clubs around Australia have been signing up to be a part of what will be called #DoingItForJarrod days.

To raise money for the Challenge Foundation, which supports young cancer victims and their families, golf clubs will host days all around the country in August and September.

Nicklaus has done a video urging golfers to support such a worthy cause and with just weeks to go, golf clubs in Australia are still being urged to sign up for a #DoingItForJarrod club day.

You can also donate to www.challenge.org.au to donate directly or purchase clothing and pins carrying the Leuk the Duck symbol that Jarrod Lyle helped make famous.

The final amount raised will be revealed at this year’s Australian PGA Championship with the Friday of the event (December 20) to be called Yellow Day.
