Lauded the world over for his golf course designs, former world No 1 Greg Norman has now agreed to link his design skills with a new golf course project at Camden, south-west of Sydney.

More than 870 lots have already been sold in the development which was launched in 2012 and has been named The Hermitage.
Construction of the new course is expected to begin in the next few months with an opening scheduled for early 2018.
Naturally Norman is excited about linking with one of the fastest-growing home builders and community developers in Australia:
“Together we will be delivering a world-class golf course in Sydney,” Norman said.
“The Hermitage estate is the idyllic location to showcase my wholly sustainable golf course designs while providing award-winning facilities for the residents and the local community.
“This project will provide a wonderfully unique golfing experience in a growth corridor of NSW.”
The Hermitage will feature two golf courses as well as 35ha of open green space and 10 parks.
There is already one 18-hole course there which will also be overhauled by Norman’s company.
It is anticipated The Hermitage has a projected population of more than 6000 people living within 2000 homes with completion expected in 2022.
Norman has already designed some of Australia’s highest-rated courses, among them courses like The Vintage, Ellerston and Stonecutters Ridge (NSW), The Glades, Brookwater, The Grand and Pelican Waters (Qld), Sanctuary Lakes, The National (Moonah) and Settlers Run (Victoria) and Copperclub at The Dunes (SA).
Norman has also been involved in negotiations to develop a $2 billion resort on Great Keppel Island, where a casino licence is being sought.
