European Tour challenges pros to 14-club shootout

You have to hand it to the European PGA Tour…they sure know how to have some fun.

Check out the video of their latest game with two European professionals playing a 14-club challenge on a par three.

The aim of the game is to hit the green – and this was a 166-yard par three – and that scored you a point.

But here’s the rub, if it was, say, a six-iron, then neither player could use a six-iron for any subsequent shot.

The two professionals were Spain’s Pablo Larrazabal and France’s Mike Lorenzo-Vera.

They sure had some fun and I won’t spoil it by telling you who won – but it was a practise routine that a lot of amateurs would probably do well to try.

It was quite a challenge, for instance, to hit the green with a driver, or, at the other end of the scale, a sand wedge.

Maybe with a bit more practise it could be done with those clubs but with one go at it both players had their ‘all-round’ games tested to the max.
