McIlroys looking for new home across the pond
Family comes first for world No 2 Rory McIlroy and at the top of that list is his American wife Erica.
It has now been revealed the Northern Irishman is considering buying a new home around London, so both sets of parents will find it easy to visit.

A home around the Wentworth/Ascot area could prove ideal for McIlroy – and not just for the convenience when he competes at the BMW PGA Championship in that area.
It would also mean he would be in close proximity to Heathrow Airport, which would suggest the couple could easily jet out to the US or Northern Ireland.
His neighbour would be 2018 Open champion Francesco Molinari and his family, who recently bought a home in that area.
Of course, next year’s British Open would also be just down the road with the major championship due to be played at Royal St Georges at Sandwich in Kent, where Darren Clarke won his lone major in 2011.
The McIlroys are still planning their Christmas and Rory is on record revealing that if he spent Christmas with his wife’s parents in upper New York State, he would play the Tournament of Champions in Hawaii but if Christmas was spent in Ireland, he would not be heading for Hawaii for an event he played for only the first time in his career earlier this year.
“Professional golf is such a lonely pursuit,” said McIlroy.
“I’ve always been able to share what I’ve done in the game with my parents but now I’ve got Erica as well.”
“She makes the good days better and the bad days not so bad.”
The McIlroys intend returning to Florida for the opening few months of the PGA Tour schedule, including February’s Genesis Open (February 13th to 16th), the WGC – Mexico Championship (February 20-23).
In March, he is likely to compete in the Arnold Palmer Invitational (March 5-8) and then defend his Players Championship crown (March 12-15).
