Overwhelming support for Tiger’s 15th major hope
It will happen, don’t worry about that and sooner rather than later…Tiger Woods winning, that is.
And most of his rivals agree that the former long-running world No 1 will complete one of the most remarkable comebacks in world sport by winning another tournament – and possibly a major – in the near future.

It’s difficult to comprehend that Woods’ world golf ranking actually dipped as low as 656 in the world at one stage.
Obviously that occurred because he was on the sidelines following back fusion surgery and was not even playing, let alone being competitive.
But following his stellar play since resuming – albeit without winning – he has now rushed back up the rankings to now be ranked No 21 in the world.
That run includes a tie for sixth at the British Open when he held the outright lead with eight holes to go, as well as finishing runner-up behind fellow American Brooks Koepka at the US PGA last month.
According to a survey among Woods’ fellow players a win for Woods is inevitable.
Of the 59 players pooled at the year’s final major as well as the Wyndham Championship an incredible 98 per cent admitted they expected Woods to win again on the US PGA Tour.
And just as impressive was the fact that 90 per cent of those played expect Woods to win a 15th major championship as well.
That compares pretty favourably when you consider that when players were asked the very same question at last year’s Dubai Desert Classic early in the year when Woods had to withdraw with back spasms and just 66 per cent thought Woods could win again on Tour.
And a mere 16 per cent of those surveyed thought he could win another major.
And just for the record, 76 per cent said they would put their money on Woods against Phil Mickelson in their upcoming exhibition match in Las Vegas.
