Pete books another Senior moment at Doral
Australian Open champion Peter Senior has booked his place for a return to the World Golf Championships-Cadillac Championship, at the Blue Monster at Trump Doral Resort & Spa from March 6-10.
Senior topped the 2012 Australasian Tour Order of Merit with his inspiring win at The Lakes in December and will return to Doral after last playing the event in 2011, following his win in the 2010 Australian PGA Championship at age 51.

The now 53-year-old, who is still looking for a breakthrough victory on the Champions Tour in the US, is the oldest player in the 52 man field.
Qualifiers came via the top 30 of the PGA TOUR’s 2012 FedExCup standings, the top 20 from the European Tour’s 2012 Race to Dubai along with the top two in the Order of Merit from the Japan Golf Tour, the PGA Tour of Australasia, the Sunshine Tour and the Asian Tour.
Fellow Australians, Adam Scott, John Senden and Marcus Fraser join Senior in a field that is expected to feature world number one, Rory McIlroy, defending-champion Justin Rose, Tiger Woods, Bubba Watson, Phil Mickelson, Luke Donald, Lee Westwood, Keegan Bradley, Brandt Snedeker, Ernie Els, Dustin Johnson and Sergio Garcia.
Players have three different avenues in which they can still qualify:
- Top 50 in the Official World Golf Ranking as of February 25 or March 4
- Top 10 in the FedExCup standings as of March 4
- Top 10 in the European Tour Race to Dubai standings as of February 25
