Rapper Cardi B to honour Tiger Woods on new album

What’s the best way to get a bunch of golfers – worldwide – to suddenly take an interest in your music?

Easy! Ask American singer-songwriter-rapper Cardi B how she goes about it.

She has decided to name her upcoming album ‘Tiger Woods’ – seriously.

And she’s not just flying blind or plucking that name out of nowhere either; Cardi B knows exactly what she’s up to:

“I think I’m going to name my album Tiger Woods,” she said during a Live Chat about her upcoming projects.

“Because, remember when everybody was talking s… on Tiger Woods . . . and then he came and won that green jacket?

“That’s what I’m going to name my album.”

Cardi B’s new album is due out early next year and although she is a massive hit in the US and has also starred in a television series over there, it’s probably fair to say that 90 per cent, or more, of golfers have never heard of her.

But you can bet we’ll be listening to the music when that album is spotted on Spotify – or wherever her music is played these days.

Let’s just hope there is a title track too…the words may yet tell a story.
