Tiger struggling with new Tour schedule
Major changes to the US PGA Tour season won’t affect Tiger Woods too much.
While the world’s No.1 player admitted he was still trying to “get his head around” the new schedule that sees events for the 2013-14 season already underway, it seems certain fans won’t see Woods in an official Tour event until the Farmers Insurance Open at Torrey Pines in the last week of January, 2014.

In the meantime Woods plans to play in a European Tour event, the Turkish Airlines Open in early November before rounding off his year by playing the World Challenge at Sherwood Country Club from December 5-8, an event he has already won five times.
“It’s going to be interesting to find our break time now with this scheduling. This wrap-around schedule is new to all of us,” Woods said last week.
“We were actually talking about this at the Presidents Cup, and it [was] hard to believe that the very next week there was a tour event – our following season.
“We felt like we were still playing our season. “I think it’s going to take a little bit of time to get accustomed to.
“Some of the guys are playing in their local areas and some guys are going overseas.
“This is something that is very different to us in our sport.
“In other sports it’s just the norm.”
Woods won five events on the US PGA Tour in 2013 and, not surprisingly, topped the money list.
