Williams opens up about Tiger on new podcast

Former Deputy Editor at Australian Golf Digest and PGA Tour correspondent for AAP, Evin Priest, has announced the release of an exclusive 13-part podcast series with Tiger Wood’s long-time caddie, Steve Williams.

The series known as ‘Chasing Majors’ is a behind the scenes look into one of the most successful partnerships in sporting history.

The first two episodes were released last week with another two of the roughly hour-long podcasts dropping this morning including looks at the 2000 PGA Championship and 2000 Open Championship at St Andrews.

“In episode 1, Steve Williams joins golf journalist Evin Priest for the first of 13 episodes detailing Williams’ iconic 12-year partnership with Tiger Woods. Williams opens up about growing up caddying in New Zealand, how he landed the job working for Tiger, his early days with the superstar golfer on the PGA Tour and their first Major win together – the epic 1999 PGA Championship at Medinah.”

Episode two then takes a round-by-round deep-dive into Woods’ iconic 15-shot US Open win at Pebble Beach – the first of three US Open titles and his third major win at the time.
