17-year-old Aussie Yuan earns 2017 LET card
17-year-old Celina Yuan has secured her immediate golfing future with a superb top-5 finish at the recent Ladies European Tour Q-School in Morocco.
Yuan, who turns 18 later this week, fired a 1-under 71 in the final round to close the gruelling 90-hole tournament in equal third place on 14-under alongside Germany’s Karolin Lampert and French duo Agathe Sauzon and fourth-round leader Celine Boutier.

Despite her age, the The Australian Golf Club member has already amassed a sizeable resume with victories at the 2016 Queensland Amateur in September, 2015 Australian Junior and Victorian Junior Girls titles, 2015 JNJG Srixon International and the 2014 Australian Girls’ Amateur amongst others.
“I wasn’t expecting to get anywhere near the top 10. I wasn’t happy with how I played on the last day, but a top 10 is good enough for me. I hope to make all the cuts in 2017 and play well enough to be happy!” said Yuan.
Sweden’s Madelene Sagstrom took out first place after firing a final round 4-under 68 to finish on 17-under in perfect conditions at the Samanah Golf Club in Marrakesh.
