Absent Thomas assured of $2m Wyndham bonus
With three PGA Tour victories and nine top-10’s under his belt this season, Justin Thomas’ bank manager was already sleeping pretty well at night.
The FedExCup leader has banked $7.2 million in prize money and now in the final week of the regular season, Thomas will take home an extra $2 million thanks to the Wyndham Rewards.

Players finishing inside the top-10 on the FedExCup leaderboard following the final tournament of the regular season, the Wyndham Championship, share a bonus pool of $10 million and with 500 FedExCup points on offer this week and a 556 point lead it is mathematically impossible for anyone to dethrone Thomas.
Last year’s inaugural winner, Brooks Koepka, is well out of contention in 92nd place and will need some solid play just to make it through the playoffs let alone the Tour Championship.
Only four players from the top-10 are in this week’s field including Webb Simpson, who sits at No.3 after being leapfrogged by Collin Morikawa’s PGA win on Sunday, Sungjae Im (5th), Patrick Reed (6th) and Brendon Todd (9th).
While the winner walks away with $2 million, the runner-up can still take home a cool $1.5 million and even 10th-place earns a lazy $500,000 so there is plenty to play for in North Carolina this week.
