Day shocks Poulter to finish third at WGC
Australia’s Jason Day handed match-play specialist Ian Poulter yet another shock this week in snaring third place in the WGC – Accenture Match-Play Championship.
Day, 25, turned around being 2 down after six holes to go 3up through 14 holes and eventually win 1up.

The victory, in Day’s third appearance in the event, will prove to be a big lift in the Queensland-born golfer being a member later this year in the International Team to contest the Presidents Cup.
“I won three holes straight, and we were kind of laughing and giggling out there for the first nine, and once we turned the corner on 10, everything got real serious,” said Day.
“He obviously made a couple of good clutch pars on 16 and 17.”
