Fox Sports to broadcast Perth International

They are the biggest golf broadcasters in Australia and now Fox Sports have added this month’s Perth International to their resume for 2016.

The European Tour-sanctioned event will boast a top-class field including the likes of defending champion Thorbjorn Olesen, 2010 British Open champion Louis Oosthuizen and French Ryder Cup star Victor Dubuisson, who was runner-up at the 2014 Perth International.

A sprinkling of promising and experienced Australians will be hoping to hold them at bay around the sparkling – and testing Lake Karrinyup layout, rated one of Perth’s premier courses.

The commentary team will be anchored by Fox Sports’ own West Australian star in former Australian all-round cricketer Brendon Julian with expert commentary from Warren Humphreys, Ossie Moore and Paul Gow.

European Tour Productions will produce its “best in class” broadcast live and in high definition on all four days of the tournament from 1pm to 5pm Perth time and 4pm until 8pm AEST.

The field of 156 players will be made up of 60 players from both the European Tour and PGA Tour of Australasia; 30 players from the Asian Tour and six sponsors’ invitations.

The Perth International will be distributed by European Tour Productions and Asian Tour Media and will broadcast more than 2,000 hours of coverage to more than 400 million homes worldwide across more than 40 different broadcasters.
