In a smart move for both companies, Foxtel has partnered with Australian golf retailer Drummond Golf to launch a special pop-up Masters channel from next Monday 6th April on Channel 503.
The week-long celebrations will kick off with a look at the 1990′s, the decade that saw the emergence a young player named Tiger Woods, who stamped his mark on world golf with a record 18-under, 12-shot win over Tom Kite in 1997. Golf would never be the same again.
On Tuesday, we see more of Tiger Woods with his highlights of his five Masters titles from 1997 to 2019 shown from 2:30pm onwards.
From Thursday through to Sunday, we’ll see full replays of arguably some of the best Masters victories of all time including Adam Scott’s breakthrough 2013 Masters victory along with Tiger Woods’ historic come-from-behind victory in 2019 to claim his fifth Masters jacket – his first Masters title in 14 years.
If you’re a fan of the Shark you may want to avoid some parts of the broadcast across the weekend with Jack Nicklaus’ 1986 final round victory being replayed on Saturday where Norman missed a par putt to enter a playoff at the final hole followed by the infamous 1996 final round 6-over 78 meltdown to lose to Nick Faldo by five shots.
The Fox Sports Drummond Golf Masters Channel will be available on Foxtel and Foxtel Now along with Foxtel Go and on demand.
