Jason Day to play Australian Open
World top-20 Jason Day will make his return to Sydney for the 2013 Emirates Australian Open at the Royal Sydney Golf Club from 28 November – 1 December, 2013.
The 25-year-old Queenslander has enjoyed a successful year on the PGA Tour, finishing in a tie for second at the US Open in June and third at the US Masters in April.

“I’m looking forward to coming back to Sydney for the Emirates Australian Open in November,” Day said.
“The Open has always had a special place in the hearts of Australian players and I’ll be ready to do battle with all the other guys at Royal Sydney and hopefully win my first Stonehaven Cup.”
Day last played the Emirates Australian Open in 2011 when he finished in a tie for fourth place at 9-under par at The Lakes.
With a host of top 10 finishes in recent years, Day’s sole PGA Tour victory came at the HP Byron Nelson Championship in 2010.
“The NSW Government welcomes the news that Australia’s second highest ranked player Jason Day will join a star-studded field to play in the Emirates Australian Open in Sydney.”
“Jason joins world number two and Australia’s only US Masters champion, Adam Scott and Northern Ireland’s two-time Major winner, Rory McIlroy to add class and depth to the Australian Open.”
The Emirates Australian Open will be broadcast live on the Seven Network across all four days and the championship will again be sanctioned by the PGA Tour Australasia and OneAsia.
