Lees make it a family affair at Australian Open
Minjee and Min Woo Lee have announced they will return home for the ISPS HANDA Australian Open in December.
The globe-trotting pair, who have won 13 professional titles between them, will line up in the historic first playing of the mixed-gender national event at Victoria Golf Club and Kingston Heath Golf Club in Melbourne.

“I’m always happy to play the Australian Open and it’s a championship that I’d be honoured to win. Everyone would love to win their national Open, and to have the chance to play alongside Min Woo just adds to the excitement for that week in Melbourne,” said two-time major winner Minjee Lee, who has notched up three top-10′s at the Australian Open including a share of third place in 2017.
“I’m really pleased that I can have a crack at the Open which is high on my list of priorities and of course, to try and earn bragging rights over my sister who’s making it quite hard for me to keep up! She’s had phenomenal success, I’m very proud of her and I’ll be so happy to get out on course with her in December,” added Lee’s younger brother.
While yet to win a national title here in Australia, the Lees have both claimed a US Junior Amateur title, the first brother/sister duo to do so, and the Vic Open with World No. 3 Minjee winning the title twice in 2014 and again in 2018 and Min Woo a year later in 2019.
Joining the Western Australian phenoms at the DP World co-sanctioned tournament will be Cameron Smith, Adam Scott, Marc Leishman, Lucas Herbert, Cam Davis, Karrie Webb, Hannah Green, Steph Kyriacou, Matt Jones and many more.
Players will compete for equal prizemoney of $1.7 million each at Victoria Golf Club and Kingston Heath Golf Club in Melbourne from December 1-4.
