Lord Howe Island Open set to be big hit
It only seems like weeks since the last Lord Howe Island Open in November 2010, and still the picturesque course remains untamed by those that have tried so valiantly.
Lord Howe Island Golf Club
Less than a two-hour flight from Sydney, Brisbane and Port Macquarie is spectacular Lord Howe Island, a golf course that allows golfers to tee off on world heritage turf and take in some of the best coastal views you will find.
Each year in early November the Lord Howe Island Golf Open week is held with over $5000 in prizes to be won.
An entry fee of $250 includes welcome drinks, player’s pack, all green fees, buffet lunches on playing days and the concluding presentation dinner.
And entries have already started to arrive from regular international and mainland supporters, not to mention the keen local contingent, all out to win their home title.
So if you’re keen to play in the 2011 Lord Howe Island Golf Open, don’t delay!
Players of all standards and handicaps are welcome, however only a limited number of entries are available.
Players must have a current GA handicap through the GolflInk system or the overseas equivalent.
The Lord Howe Island Open is a week of guaranteed fun and island hospitality. Put it in the diary, now!
