Percy tied 4th at Rex Hospital Open
Victorian Cameron Percy has posted a confidence boosting result at the Web.Com Tour’s Rex Hospital Open in North Carolina, finishing tied for 4th behind American Trey Mullinax.
The 42-year-old shot the round of the day, a 67, to vault up the leader board and post his best result in several years on either the PGA or Web.Com Tour.

Competing on a sponsor’s exemption, Percy’s 274 total was four strokes behind Mullinax, who recorded his first Web.Com title with a 14-under par total of 270.
Percy is currently languishing amongst the also rans on the PGA TOUR’s FedExCup race and will need to use the momentum gained from this week to mount a charge over the remaining months of the 2015/16 season to retain his playing rights.
Fellow Victorian Steve Allan was the next best of the Australians in tied 40th place, with Brett Drewitt tied 48th and Scott Gardiner tied 59th.
The U.S. secondary Tour moves across the border to South Carolina this week for the BMW Charity Pro-Am, an event won by Rod Pampling in 2015.
