Queensland Open cancelled for 2022
Golf Australia has announced the cancellation of the 2022 Isuzu Qld Open due to ongoing redevelopment delays at the host course, Pelican Waters on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast.
The Greg Norman-designed golf course has been riding the wave of population growth in South-East Queensland but expects to be tournament-ready for the 2023 staging of the iconic event.

“We love the event being at Pelican Waters and the venue and its owners have been so supportive of the Isuzu Qld Open,” said Golf Australia CEO James Sutherland.
“We are so excited to see what the redevelopment brings, and it makes sense to showcase the new venue when it can be at its best, which unfortunately, with the renovation timelines, means we won’t be able to return to Pelican Waters for this great Championship until early in 2023.”
Andrew Evans, who currently plays on the Japan Golf Tour, won the last staging of the Queensland Open in 2021 defeating Deyen Lawson, Bryden Macpherson and Blake Windred to take home the title by two strokes.
