Senior trailed Price by two strokes early in the final round after bogies at the first and third holes, but then wore his opponents down with some flawless golf, amassing five birdies and ten pars to give him a comfortable two shot lead playing the last hole.
“It was a battle out there with Terry this afternoon, there was nothing in it for quite a while but then Terry bogeyed 13 and doubled the last which took the pressure off a little,” said Senior after the round.
“It was great to come back to Byron Bay to play in this tournament again; the golf course is in outstanding condition and I have really enjoyed my week here” added Senior.
Mike Zilko from NSW played a courageous even par round of 72 to take outright third place on 1-over par 217.
Overnight leader Graham Banister faltered early and was unable to recover firing a 6-over 78 and eventually tied in fourth place.
