City Golf Club confirmed as QLD PGA host
Toowoomba will once again host some of the ISPS HANDA PGA Tour of Australasia’s brightest stars when the Coca-Cola QLD PGA Championship tees off next March.
Having hosted the tournament since its return to the garden city in 2009, the City Golf Club will stage the 2017 instalment from 16-19 March, as part of the ISPS HANDA PGA Tour of Australasia.

“We are thrilled to organise the QLD PGA Championship in Toowoomba once again this year. The City Golf Club has been and continues to be a great partner of this tournament,” said Simon Butterly, General Manager of the Tournament Division of the PGA of Australia.
Each year the Coca-Cola QLD PGA Championship attracts a strong field to contest the title with recent winners including Steven Bowditch, Brad Kennedy recent European Tour graduate Ryan Fox.
Last year’s tournament was no exception as Queenslander Tim Hart fired a final round 61 to force a playoff where Germany’s David Klein emerged victorious.
“The Championship is always a highly anticipated event for the region. We are looking forward to providing another opportunity to showcase the great talent on offer each and every year,” said Ed Britnell, President of City Golf Club.
“We have continued to make improvements to our facility over recent years and with the addition to the course changes, the new driving range and mini putt-putt ensures we have something to offer everyone who visits the City Golf Club.”
The Coca-Cola QLD PGA Championship will be played from 16-19 March for AUD$125,000 and Official World Golf Ranking points.
