Watt exits early from Australian Amateur
Brady Watt, our highest ranked world amateur at 16th, has been ousted at the Australian Amateur Championship in Melbourne.
In a surprise outcome the top-seed went down 5&3 to local Anthony Houston.

Watt was not the only big-name casualty, Todd Sinnott was also beaten 4&3 by England’s Neil Raymond.
Cameron Smith was lucky to get through to the second round winning his match against Kade McBride on the 19th.
Brett Drewitt won his match against Canada’s Greg Rank, 4&3, with Geoff Drakeford through to the second round with a 2-up victory over Lee Herbert.
The second round begins tomorrow at Commonwealth Golf Club.
