Web.com season commences in Panama
Ten Australians including former US PGA Tour players Gavin Coles, Nathan Green and Mathew Goggin will line up for the first event of the Web.com Tour’s 24th season at the Panama Claro Championship in Panama City, Panama from Feb. 21-24.
The tournament will be the first of three successive events in South America to kick start one of the most significant years in the Tour’s history.

The 25-event Web.com Tour season will feature 21 Regular Season tournaments that will set the table for the four-event Web.com Tour Finals and the awarding of the 50 PGA TOUR cards in September.
“We can’t wait to get the 2013 season underway,” said Web.com Tour president Bill Calfee.
“There is a great deal of excitement and enthusiasm for the year ahead given the dramatic changes to the TOUR’s qualifying structure and the awarding of the 50 cards that will be in effect for the first time.” “If Mr. Hogan could see how far the tour he helped launch 24 years ago has evolved, he would be truly amazed.”
The Regular Season ends on Aug. 25th at the Cox Classic where the 25 leading money-winners at the conclusion of that tournament will be assured PGA TOUR cards for 2013-14.
The Regular Season will be followed by the Web.com Tour Finals, played the last week of August through September in Fort Wayne, Ind., Charlotte, N.C., Columbus, Ohio and Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla., with 25 additional cards on offer and positioning on the PGA TOUR’s all-important priority ranking determined.
The Finals will feature the top 75 off the Web.com Tour Regular Season money list, PGA TOUR members who are 126-200 on the FedExCup points list following the Wyndham Championship, and any non-members who earn enough FedExCup points to also finish 126-200.
