Webb moves back inside Rolex Top 20
Karrie Webb’s unfortunate final round 82, in the shocking conditions that plagued the final day at Women’s British Open at Royal Liverpool last week, deflated a brave tilt for an eighth major championship and a fourth British Open.
Her final round saw her relegated to a tie for 5th, 12 shots behind eventual winner Jiyai Shin of Korea.

However, the Hall of Famer’s finish allowed her to rise one spot in the Rolex Women’s World Golf Rankings to 20th, while the next best Australian, Katherine Hull, is ranked 57th.
Former Robina High students – Amy Yang and Haeji Kang – were ranked 11th and 59th respectively following the Open.
With her 2nd British Open victory, former world number one Shin climbed five places to number five while runner-up, Inbee Park, rose two places to 7th.
Despite an indifferent year by her standards, Taiwan’s Yani Tseng is still a runaway leader at the top of the rankings ahead of U.S. Women’s Open champion, Na Yeon Choi of Korea.
