After watching the final round live or on TV, amateur golfers will have their chance to test themselves on the same layout, tees and pin placements on the Monday following the completion of the ANZ RACV Ladies Masters on the Gold Coast.

The well manicured Royal Pines course is always in peak condition for the prestigious event that hosts the world’s best players from the US, European and Asian Tours. Seven-time champion Karrie Webb rates the greens at Royal Pines amongst the best in the world.

To add to the excitement for golfers, Royal Pines has teamed up with Go Golfing to host an exciting Skins competition format.

Playing as a group of four, the best three stableford scores on each hole are recorded. Tremendous prizes are up for grabs on each hole, and the team scoring the highest stableford total on each hole wins the prizes. If scores are tied, the prizes jackpot to the next hole. Official scorers ensure scoring integrity.

According to Go Golfing’s tournament director Peter McCarthy the Skins format has proven extremely popular.

“The Skins presentations are conducted after the round on a big screen,” said McCarthy.

“Teams come up with their own innovative name and the top team scores on each hole are displayed in ascending order.”

“There’s always a big cheer if there is a tie on a hole, as the prizes jackpot to the next hole with all teams back in the mix.”

“Being a team event brings any burglars back to the field and generally the prizes up for grabs on all 18 holes are well shared,” he said.

The $90 entry fee includes 18 holes with a motorised cart, pin placement sheets, skins prizes and a post-golf BBQ with the Skins presentations and prizes.

Golfers will have the choice to be part of the 7.30am or 12.45pm shotgun starts.

Exclusive opportunities like this are usually only offered to tournament sponsors and corporate clients prepared to pay big dollars.
