Min Woo Lee broke through on the PGA Tour with a wire-to-wire win at the 2025 Houston Open, ending a long stretch of near-misses that had threatened to define his Tour career. Born in Perth to South Korean parents, he turned professional in 2019 and won the 2021 Scottish Open at the age of 23, beating Matt Fitzpatrick and Thomas Detry in a playoff at the Renaissance Club.
The younger brother of LPGA major champion Minjee Lee, Min Woo has built a parallel identity online — his ‘Let Him Cook’ catchphrase and behind-the-scenes content on social channels have made him one of the most-followed Australian sportspeople of his generation.
He still bases himself in Perth between events, where he trains at Royal Fremantle and works with long-time coach Ritchie Smith, who also coaches his sister and 2024 U.S. Women’s Open champion Hannah Green.
