LIV Golf

LIV Golf is the Saudi-PIF-backed 14-event team-format circuit launched in 2022, contested by 48 players across 12 four-man teams. Each event runs three rounds with no cut, 54 holes total, with both team and individual classifications. The 2024-2025 OWGR weighting changes restored points-eligibility for LIV events on a per-event basis after the league’s initial 2022-2023 exclusion. Active rosters include Jon Rahm (captain of Legion XIII), Bryson DeChambeau (captain of Crushers GC), Brooks Koepka (captain of Smash GC), Cameron Smith (captain of Ripper GC), Joaquín Niemann (captain of Torque GC), Phil Mickelson (HyFlyers GC) and Dustin Johnson (4Aces GC). The schedule rotates global venues from Saudi Arabia to Singapore, the Greater London area and the United States, with team and individual purses totalling over $405 million per season.
